Ukraine Reform Conference – Business Decarbonisation Dialogue Held to Promote Transition to Zero Carbon in Ukraine

December 2021 – Ahead of the Ukraine Reform Conference (URC2022) in Lugano, the British Embassy Kyiv, the Office of National Investment Council, and Kinstellar hosted the first Business Decarbonisation Dialogue on 15 December 2021.

Business Decarbonisation Dialogue has convened business, policy makers, government officials, international financial institutions, business associations and others to develop recommendations to drive business decarbonization actions in Ukraine. With over 100 attendees online and in person, the event has offered an unrivalled platform for an open dialogue to discuss rapid and early reductions in emissions.

The Dialogue focused on the energy, finance and value chain, agriculture, FMCG, and heavy industry sectors, recognizing equally the potential for decarbonization and the interrelated nature of the sectors. The sector panels were organized into four tracks and boosted discussion of the best practices and cross-cutting approaches to reach net-zero carbon emissions.

The event has clearly demonstrated readiness for joint multi-sectoral efforts and co-operation with the state authorities to foster an open dialogue of the balanced and sustainable development.
